Meet Stacy Shaw
Hello!
Attorney. Educator. Advocate.
A firm truth-teller grounded in service, accountability, and community.
Stacy's Story
Stacy Shaw is a Kansas City attorney whose work is rooted in a simple belief:
The law should protect people — not intimidate them.
For more than a decade, Stacy has represented individuals and families navigating some of the most difficult moments of their lives, from serious injuries to complex legal systems that often feel overwhelming and unfair.
Her approach is direct, educational, and grounded in respect. She believes clients deserve clear answers, honest guidance, and advocacy that does not back down when systems push back.
From Calling to Career
Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Stacy grew up in a disciplined, values-driven environment with strong ties to faith, service, and community responsibility. Early on, she felt a calling toward service and leadership — a foundation that continues to shape her work today.
Stacy earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Harris-Stowe State University and went on to graduate magna cum laude from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University. Her legal education sharpened her understanding of how law, economics, and power intersect — especially for people with limited access to resources.
In 2011, Stacy founded Stacy Shaw Law in Kansas City with limited resources but a clear mission: make legal guidance accessible, understandable, and fair.
She built her practice by meeting people where they were — in community spaces, at local events, and through education — helping clients avoid life-altering consequences caused not by danger, but by confusion, economic hardship, or lack of access.
Law as Education, Not Intimidation
Throughout her career, Stacy has seen how often people are pressured into decisions they don’t fully understand — especially after accidents or during moments of crisis.
Her work focuses on:
Personal Injury & Auto Accidents
Holding insurance companies accountable
Helping clients understand their rights before decisions are made
Advocating with preparation, discipline, and clarity
She does not overpromise. She does not rush settlements. She believes informed clients are protected clients.
